When innovation meets innovation

Comment le système ProfilGate® pour le nettoyage des pneus et le système BECOSAN® pour le traitement des sols en béton se complètent de manière optimale pour répondre aux normes les plus élevées en matière de propreté industrielle.

The problem
Two systems for a brilliant solution

The problem

The floors of industrial halls are constantly exposed to high levels of stress. In logistics areas, such as warehouses, there is constant activity. Goods are delivered, transported within the warehouse and lifted out again after storage. Depending on the type of product and the size of the warehouse, various industrial trucks are used for this purpose. Forklift trucks, for example, usually transport pallets with lifting capacities of over one tonne. Hand pallet trucks or AGVs are used to move smaller loads.
Production areas are also highly frequented, whether by industrial trucks or employees. The floor is used on a daily basis. This leads to wear and soiling of the surfaces. Every tyre of a forklift truck, every roller of an AGV and every sole of a work shoe carries dust, moisture and other dirt into and through industrial buildings. As a result, floors suffer even more and need to be kept in good condition through constant cleaning procedures.

For some industries, the aspect of cleanliness is particularly important. In the automotive and supplier industry, for example, great importance is attached to technical cleanliness in order to protect components and products. In the packaging, cosmetics and food industries, there are various certifications, from BRC to IFS, which specify the standard that internal cleanliness and hygiene must meet. This ultimately ensures product quality so that the consumer is protected.

The condition and cleanliness of the floors play an important role in this context. If a floor is damaged, accidents at work are more likely. In addition, production residues, chemicals and other contaminants can penetrate the concrete and cause damage. Damaged hall floors cause further mineral abrasion and therefore more dust in the hall.

Two systems for a brilliant solution

To make your industrial floor more resistant, we recommend BECOSAN®. It is a complete system for reconditioning concrete floors. It can be applied to both new and existing concrete floors. The floor is ground and polished using the patented BECOSAN® polishing system. The floor is then treated with the BECOSAN® Densifier concrete hardener. This penetrates deep into the concrete and binds free lime particles. This makes the surface more compact and denser, which protects against scratches and dirt. The treated surface is then sealed with the BECOSAN® Protective Sealer. It is based on nanotechnology, which ensures that the product penetrates deep into the concrete pores and protects the floor from oils, grease and chemicals.

After these measures, your industrial floor will have a hard, dust-free and high-quality surface. To ensure that this is not contaminated by dirt, ProfilGate® is recommended as a second building block for perfect cleanliness in industry. Whether abrasion-resistant or polished, every floor surface is only smooth as long as it is clean. The particles and small stones carried in by tyres, castors and wheels inevitably scratch the surface and damage it as a result.

Conclusion: Dirt from other indoor and outdoor areas must not be brought in at all!

ProfilGate® is a cleaning system that is ideally installed in access and transition areas. It consists of dirt collection trays that are embedded in the floor. Gratings with brush strips are inserted into the trays. The patented brush strips ensure innovative effectiveness. They are pre-tensioned and have angled bristles. If they are driven over by an industrial truck or walked over by an employee, the pre-tensioning and the inclined position of the bristles ensure that they actively brush the dirt off the treads of the tyres, wheels, rollers and soles. This falls through the gratings into the dirt collection trays and is collected there.

In this way, BECOSAN® and ProfilGate® tackle the problem of soiling in industry from two sides. ProfilGate® reduces the amount of dust and dirt entering industrial halls and the BECOSAN® treatment means that less dust is released by the floor itself and the existing dust no longer sticks to the floor. ProfilGate® also ensures that hardly any moisture from outside areas gets into the warehouse and production areas. If moisture does occur within production, BECOSAN® ensures that it can only penetrate the floor to a limited extent and that chemicals, for example, have less surface area to attack. What both systems have in common is that they drastically reduce maintenance and cleaning costs and thus contribute to a reduction in operating costs in the long term.
