_ Dirt collection tray in two heights

In order to disinfect tyres, castors and soles in addition to physical cleaning, water and an appropriate disinfectant are filled into the dirt collection tray in this model.

Depending on use, you can choose between two heights:

  • 55 millimetres: All options are open to you with this variant. The system can be used wet for cleaning and disinfecting, but also dry for cleaning and collecting dirt.

If you want to be able to switch between the two types or if you are initially planning to use the system dry, but also want to be able to use it for wet cleaning in the future, the 55 millimetre high tray is the right choice. A 10 mm dirt reservoir under the brush strips collects the dirt which is removed from the tires.

  • 45 millimetres: This flat version is used when the system is operated wet in any case. There is no dirt reservoir under the brush strips, as removed dirt floats in the liquid anyway and does not remain on the tray floor.

As a result, there is no possibility of dry use as with the 55 mm tray, but the tray capacity is also smaller as it is 10 mm shallower. This saves money as less disinfectant is required for one filling.

_ Determining the correct cleaning field length

Based on the analysis by the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and IBELIN laboratory, we know exactly the length at which our clean driving zones achieve their optimum cleaning effect. To get a rough estimate of this, you can use the following rules of thumb for planning:

Transport vehicles: At least three tire rotations are enough to remove 80 % of the dirt. This means that your cleaning area should be at least 3 - 4 times the tread area of the largest tire circumference to be cleaned.

Shoe soles: For cleaning shoe soles, each foot should have at least four to six contacts with the cleaning field with a normal stride length.

Of course, the conditions on site play a decisive role in exact planning. These include the type of vehicle and dirt, dry or wet cleaning and much more. If you have any questions on this topic, we will be happy to advise you.
