Klöckner Pentaplast (kp) was founded in 1965 in Montabaur, Germany, and has developed into one of the world's leading companies in the plastics industry. The company now has 32 factories in 18 different countries and supplies companies in the food, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and medical industries. Customers from the pharmaceutical and food segments in particular have very high demands in terms of hygiene and cleanliness.

Among other things, a cleaning solution was sought for a hall entrance in front of the inner gate. The aim was to prevent contamination of the kp products by reducing the amount of dirt entering the production areas. The ProfilGate® st65 model, which is characterised by a high dirt volume, was chosen back in 2017. Klöckner Pentaplast mainly uses hand and pallet trucks, electric forklifts and small forklift trucks with small wheels and castors in the cleaning area.  Accordingly, the st series was chosen, which is characterised by fine-meshed honeycomb grating and is therefore ideal for this type of industrial truck. The internal route is heavily used: approx. 240 passes per day. The field is cleaned weekly. In January 2021, the dirt was collected and weighed. 4.25 kg of dirt was found on the scales. Extrapolated to a whole year, this means that over 50 kg of dirt can be collected before it enters production.
