The fact that our customers confirm the outstanding cleaning effect of ProfilGate® clean driving zones was not enough for us. That's why we turned to the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and IBELIN Laboratory to scientifically prove its effectiveness. Here you can find the excellent results of the representative analyses for dry and wet cleaning.
Construction of a suitable test area with an approx. 2 metre long ProfilGate® cleaning field. For dry cleaning, shoe soles, smaller rollers and also forklift wheels were tested; for wet cleaning, the polyamide rollers of a trolley and the soles of work boots were tested. Before and after driving over/walking over the ProfilGate® clean-off zones, swab and pad samples were taken and analysed to determine how the load of dirt or microorganisms changes when driving over the ProfilGate® clean-off zones.
Just a few steps or tyre rotations are enough to reduce the dirt load by up to 80 %. The samples were analysed on an REM-EDX from RJL (PSEMeXplorer model). This allowed both the qualitative and quantitative determination of the dirt deposits.
A single pass over the ProfilGate® aqua clean-off zone led to a reduction in the microbiological load of the bacterial strains by approx. 99%. Mould contamination was reduced by approx. 90%.
Tests were carried out on Escherichia coli (rod bacteria that behave like salmonella) and Enterococcus faecium (bacteria with high environmental resistance similar to listeria) and Aspergillus niger (mould fungus).
